He llegit a El País d’avui que, el baríton polonès Wojtek Drabowicz ha mort d’un atac al cor mentre conduïa el seu cotxe, tenia tan sols 41 anys.
Drabowicz va cantar al Liceu i jo crec que molt be, Eugeni Oneguin (al teatre Victòria) a l’any 1998, i a l’any 2002, Ariadne auf Naxos i el Don Giovanni de la producció del Bieito.
En el vídeo el podeu veure a la seva darrera actuació al nostre Teatre, tot just desprès de beneficiar-se a la pobre Donna Anna (Regina Schörg) a dins del cotxe i carregar-se al Comendador (Anatoly Kocherga), iníci prometedor del que veurem desprès.
L’any vinent tornem-hi amb aquest Don Giovanni, però amb el Keenlyside que es beneficiarà a la Blancas i desprès liquidarà al Comendador Groissböck.

El repartiment és molt important, però ara que he vist un parell de clips de la producció, tot cercant un vídeo pel malaurat Drabowicz, què vols que et digui, m’ha fet una mica de mandra veure segons que. Tancarem els ulls i sobretot escoltarem molt. Llàstima no haver trobat un altre fragment per fer-li més justícia. Hi ha un DVD comercial del seu Oneguin a Glyndebourne que està molt be.

Wojtek was a wonderful colleague and friend. I will miss him dearly. A loving father and husband, he would show me every day the new photos of his children and new house (which he was very proud of)on his laptop. The world has lost a great artist and a beautiful person. RIP
