Die Walküre acte 3r Bayreuth 1976-1980 Patrice Chéreau
Seguint aquest projecte de recopilació de documentació visual de totes les produccions que han passat pel Festival de Bayreuth des de la inauguració del 1876, avui proposo Die Walküre i amb ella traspassem l’equador dels drames wagnerians permesos al festival.
Ara “l’escandalosa” producció de Chéreau que encapçala l’apunt, per a mi una absoluta referència de com entendre el teatre operístic, que va posar de panxa enlaire els fonaments del Turó Verd, a hores d’ara sembla del tot clàssica. De fet, fins a l’arribada de Castorf totes, la naïf de Kirchner inclosa, semblen del tot respectuoses i fins i tot clàssiques, però encara faltava Schwarz i aneu a saber que ens espera després d’ell.
He inclós la proposta, més estètica que escénica, de la representació de la primera jornada que es va fer l’any del 2021 de l’artista Hermann Nitsch sense el pròleg i les dues jornades posteriors, que per causa de la pandèmia va enderrerir la inauguració de la nova producció de Valentin Schwarz que finalment va tenir lloc l’estiu del 2022.

Per variar un xic la postura, perquè tinc ja tortícolis d’estar tanta estona amb el cap cot, ara m’agenollo i et saludo mirant-te amb agraïment (quin descans pel coll, Déu). Hoffmann va crear el canon. Vaig veure un cop a internet un gran àlbum editat a Leipzig, reeditat a Barcelona a finals del segle XIX que recollia totes les escenografies de Hoffmann de la primera tetralogia que, segurament, tenien tots els escenògrafs catalans i que van fer servir per inspirat-se, quan no per copiar-les descaradament. Vist amb perspectiva, les posades en escena de Wieland, seguint a Appia, son absolutament genials, com ho van ser les de Chéreau i Kupfer, però Déu n’hi do amb les de Wolfgang, Tankred Dorst i Castorf, que cada dia trobo més encertada. Gràcies per la teva feinada, Joaquim!

T’agreixo molt la fidelitat en contestar i valorar la feina. M’ho passo molt bé en la recerca, però la feinada no me la treu ningú. Jo també valoro a Dorst, a Castorf malgrat la imponent escenografia i el retrat d’uns personatges perfectament identificables, em costa integrar-los en un Ring.

Castorf la va encertar al identificar l’or amb el petroli, amb els combustibles fóssils i les lluites entre les màfies que lluiten per controlar i dominar el mercat. Va ser un visionari. El proper Ring que l’encertarà serà, sens dubte, el que identifiqui l’or amb l’aigua que, tal i com va la cosa, serà aviat el bé més preuat.
